Here’s what we’re planning: Online skills training for 100 CJ Hub alums (60% women) who have completed our basic skills course, opening up a world of opportunity for them! At the CJ Hub, students will learn together in person, guided by our local instructor as they use online courses and platforms, including AI. Virtual guest instructors will sometimes lead sessions, bringing global expertise to the CJ Hub.

A critical part of this journey is online safety. Each of our 10 student cohorts will begin with a vital workshop on internet safety and media literacy. This ensures they can confidently and critically navigate their new online world.

Your Investment: Clear Milestones for Our Shared Goal

Our first major step is to raise $4,585 for Phase 1. This fully funds our CJ Hub upgrade and launches our pilot program with the first 10 students:

• Milestone 1 ($1,250): Virtual Classroom Setup 

  • Funds: Essential IT setup (router, webcam, antivirus, expert help) – creating our virtual classroom.

• Milestone 2 (Next $1,380): Power Stability & Curriculum Development

  • Funds: A reliable generator or other power backup such as solar/battery, initial fuel, and specialized course content and learning plan – ensuring quality education.  

•  Milestone 3 (Next $1,955): Pilot Launch (10 Students) & M&E Setup

  • Funds: The first cohort’s teacher (stipend + training), workshop, online platforms & services, plus establishing our Monitoring & Evaluation plan.

With Phase 1 complete, our pilot is launched and the CJ Hub is ready!

 

Scaling Our Success: After Phase 1, just ~$600 funds another complete cohort of 10 students. Our plan is to then reach 50 students (total $6,985), and then 100 students (total $10,000). And after the first 100 students, we plan to continue to offer this course to all graduates of our basic skills course.
